Praja Prasthanam

Praja Prasthanam---The historic 68 day, 1600 Kms Padayatra in rhe scorching Summer of April-May 2003, covering 11 districts,for the purpose of consoling people who were facing extreme difficulties, and try to bring out the inefficiency of the Government and making it turn its attention to the problems. The then, Chief Minister, Mr.Chandrababu Naidu infamously commented "Farmers are committing suicides just for the Rs.1 lakh benefit they get from the govt. if they die." That explains the situation prevailed in the state during taht time.
